Kalimaya Dive Resort

Designed and built specifically with divers in mind, Kalimaya Dive Resort is located in one of the last untouched places in Indonesia. Nestled away on 400 metres of beachfront in a private bay on the coast of East Sumbawa, Kalimaya is perfectly situated right on the doorstep of some of the most exciting diving on this planet.

At Kalimaya Dive Resort you can enjoy four distinct dive areas.
1. West Komodo: known for its currents, drifts and pelagics, West Komodo offers unspoilt diving in the land of the Komodo dragons
2. Gili Banta: rarely visited by other divers, here you can enjoy high voltage current dives and pristine sites busy with schooling fish both big and small, sharks, oceanic and reef mantas, mobula rays and eagle rays
3. Sangean Volcano: out of this world macro and muck sites on an active, bubbling black sand volcanic reef providing the perfect backdrop for the rainbow of colours projected by the diverse marine life and corals
4. Sumbawa Coast: Kalimaya’s house reef is home to critters galore. Nearby is a Japanese wreck and a secret manta cleaning station. Further along the coast are walls, overhangs, black and white sandy plateaus.

Kalimaya Dive Resort has 6 beachfront bungalows with queen bed and 2 hillside bungalows each containing two sea view rooms sharing a common balcony with twin beds or queen bed. All bungalows are air conditioned and have a private bathroom. Wake up to watch the sun rising over the Komodo Island and Gili Banta Island from your bungalow, and fall asleep to the sound of waves lapping on the ocean.

Meals are included and served family style at large communal dining tables.
