Soak up the sun on one of the many beautiful beaches dotted along the coast, chill out with the laid-back residents of Byron Bay, or take a leisurely drive to Hunter Valley and unwind with a refreshing glass of wine. For the more active visitor, your trip would be incomplete without a hike through the Blue Mountains and the resplendent rainforest that covers these towering peaks.
Culture, history, and nature abound in this multi-faceted, vibrant state. Take an Aboriginal-guided tour to learn more about Aboriginal beliefs and gain a new understanding of the land around you, go skiing in the Australian Alps, or partake in some breath-taking star-gazing in the vast, wide-open expanse of the Outback.

Leanda Lei Apartments are set amid tranquil gardens and spacious lawns with views towards Mount Gower and Lidgbird. It is ideally located only 400m from Lagoon Beach, 300m from the museum, visitor’s centre and walking distance to all main attractions Lord Howe Island has to offer.
Leanda Lei was established in 1954 by Roy and Daphne Wilson as the first purpose-built guest house on Lord Howe Island and was a “honeymooner’s haven”. In 1974 the accommodation was converted to self-contained apartments, allowing for more freedom of choice regarding styles of accommodation.
All 19 apartments have recently been renovated and refurbished and remain within the same family today.
Lord Howe Island off the east coast of Australia, just a 2-hour flight from Sydney, Port Macquarie or Brisbane, is one of the world’s most beautiful World Heritage-listed islands surrounded by an NSW Marine Park. Warm tropical waters and cooler currents have created a diverse range of marine life, a unique mix of both tropical and temperate water fish. In short, a diving paradise!
Pro Dive Lord Howe Island owned in partnership by Aaron and Lisa Ralph was established on Lord Howe Island in 1978.
Pro Dive Lord Howe Island has built a strong reputation as one of Australia’s premier diving operators, a reputation it still holds today.
They are a young and energetic team, passionate about diving and the ocean. The skipper and instructor, Aaron, will endeavour to take you to a wide variety of dive sites to ensure you experience the unique range of species Lord Howe Island has to offer.
The dive season runs from September through to May with water temperatures ranging from 18 degrees Celsius to 26 degrees. They are closed in June, July and August, due to the SCUBA equipment requiring annual servicing and testing off the island and the nature of the seasonal activity.
