Dumaguete is the largest city in the province of Negros Oriental, located on the southeast coast of Negros Island. It is a bustling university town with an airport, several hospitals, historical buildings, shopping malls and restaurants and bars along it’s seaside boulevard.
Negros Oriental province is renowned for it’s outstanding natural beauty and fascinating culture. Marine sanctuaries line the Dauin coastline. Inland, the vast mountain ridge is home to many serene lakes, thundering waterfalls and local indigenous cultures.
“The City of Gentle People”, is best known for the Silliman University established in 1901 as the Philippines first Protestant university and the oldest private American university in Asia.
Dumaguete is close to Apo Island, a marine protected area since 1982.
Most dive resorts are situated in the coastal town of Dauin, about 15 kilometres (30-minute drive) south of Dumaguete. The area remains one of the Philippines’ best kept secrets for divers looking for a remote tropical getaway with world-class diving right on its doorstep.

The spacious beach resort is located in the Municipality of Dauin, about 16 km south of Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental. The Swiss managed facility was built by divers for divers and opened its doors in December of 2004. Besides having a state of the art dive centre, the resort also offers other amenities and activities for the whole family to enjoy.
The goal was to keep the place as natural as possible and to use as many environmentally friendly resources as possible to give you that luxury feel combined with a closeness to nature. The resort has 31 rooms and can offer five different room categories which provides you with the opportunity to decide for yourself how much comfort/luxury you want to enjoy during your vacation. The resort and all the rooms are very spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean and garden. The property invites you for relaxing strolls in this tropical setting away from the busy and noisy daily routine.
The Sea Explorers 5* PADI Career Development Centre is conveniently located inside the resort and offers you all the amenities you need to make sure you and your equipment are safe. The swimming pool has been designed in a way where guests can enjoy a refreshing swim or dip in freshwater, but it is also suitable and built for Scuba Diving pool training sessions.
The proximity to Apo Island, one of the highlights for divers in the Visayas plus the outstanding macro diving close to the resort, makes diver’s dreams come true.
