Tongan Beach Resort - Low Season Sale
Set in the idyllic Vava’u island group, Tongan Beach Resort is a true South Pacific gem, where guests can relax, explore, and discover Tonga’s natural beauty. Whether it’s peaceful beachside moments or ocean adventures, Tongan Beach Resort offers the ultimate island escape. The Vava'u island group gives you access to stunning reef systems, drop offs, chimneys, caves, caverns and swim throughs. With visibly exceeding 40+ metres year round you will see an abundance of fish life, sharks, nudibranchs, crustaceans, sea fans, hard and soft corals and more. If wrecks are your thing there is the Clan MacWilliam a 140m copra steamer which sank in 1927 in Neiafu Harbour sitting upright in less than 40 metres of water. Water temp peaks at 30°C during summer and averages 25°C in winter when you may be serenaded by haunting whale songs.  From July to October, the waters in front of the resort come alive as Humpback Whales migrate through, often with their young.

    Vava'u Information

Vava’u is an accumulation of Tonga’s northernmost islands. Hop on a plane for a scenic flight over the South Pacific to reach these beautiful islands.

It is said that these islands of paradise were created by the Polynesian demigod, Maui, who fished up the seafloor with a magic hook. The truth isn’t too far off legend, as the islands are composed of coral limestone which has been thrust to the surface due to tectonic activity some estimated 85 million years ago when the Pacific Ocean first formed. The island is made up of raised coral cliffs, creating a stunning rugged coastline, riddled with waterways, bays, natural harbours and channels.

The many atolls and sheltered natural harbours of Vava’u make it a haven for anyone interested in sailing. There’s endless little coves to explore and local skippers to take you on a real South Pacific adventure!

    Tongan Beach Resort

Tongan Beach Resort is located in the beautiful Vava’u island group, north of Tongatapu. There is no better place on earth to enjoy world-class diving, snorkelling, whale watching, kayaking, fishing, sailing, secluded beaches, translucent water and peaceful surroundings. It’s unique charm and beauty creates this true jewel of the South Pacific as an exciting destination where visitors can explore, discover and enjoy Tonga’s best kept secrets.
Tongan Beach Resort spans 180 meters of beachfront with all 17 guest rooms enjoying views of the golden sand beach and crystal clear turquoise waters of the Port of Refuge Harbour.

The resort is nestled on the beachfront of the island of ‘Utungake. There is safe swimming at all tides. We have a fully licensed restaurant in addition to our Sandpit Bar, library, beach towels, and water taxi service to Neiafu and back.

All rooms are only meters away from the water’s edge and are fitted with electric ceiling fans with open entrances allowing for a natural sea breeze if desired. Each room has its own covered decked balcony with table and chairs to relax on.

Vava’u is accessible by air from Tongatapu, utilizing Tonga’s domestic airline service, Real Tonga Ltd. The domestic flight is approximately 55 minutes and is scheduled daily, with the exception of Sunday.

For guest’s convenience, Tongan Beach Resort provides a personal meet and greets service on your arrival at Vava’u Airport. The resort is located just 25 minutes by road from the Airport.
