The volcanic islands of Fiji are found in the South Pacific Ocean and are home to cyan coloured lagoons, abundant rainforests, pine forests, mountains formed of limestone and coral islets or dormant and extinct volcanoes, and 1,666 kilometres of white sand beaches scattered across 709,660 square kilometres of ocean.

Fiji has two distinct seasons: winter is the dry season and extends from May to October. During this period, daytime temperatures average 25˚C and drop to 19˚C at night.
Summer is the wet season and extends from November to April. Humidity and rainfall are at their peak during this time, and you can expect a tropical downpour typically in the mid-afternoon. Tropical cyclones are known to develop between December and April, but generally, the sea is calm during this time. Daytime temperatures average 31˚C and drop to a comfortable 22˚C overnight.
We recommend light, casual clothing. Remember to dress modestly outside of your hotel or resort, particularly when visiting villages or shopping in towns. It is advised to cover up during dawn and dusk to avoid mosquito bites.
Fiji abounds with a wide variety of marine life. You can look forward to dazzling soft corals, red and yellow gorgonian fans and a vast array of small tropical fish. For the more adventurous divers, there are tunnels, caves and awe-inspiring drop-offs just waiting to be explored.
Owing to its calm waters and shallow lagoons as well as its sheer walls and pinnacles, Fiji is the perfect dive destination for both beginners and experienced divers.
Fiji is rated one of the top 10 dive destinations in the world, and it takes pride in being called the “Soft Coral Capital of the World” with Somosomo Strait one of the most well known epicenters. Beqa Lagoon, famous for its shark feed sites, is surrounded one of the worlds largest barriers reef’s. Kadavu Island’s hard coral Astrolabe Reef is further off the beaten track and offers manta encounters.
