Overview

The 992 islands that make up the Solomon Islands sit to the east of Papua New Guinea and north of Vanuatu. These islands remain relatively untouched by the developments of the modern world and encompass the notion of the quintessential remote island experience.

Most islands are surrounded by colourful coral reefs, with luminous lagoons, wonderful white sand beaches and cool coconut trees. The interior of the islands ranges from luscious rainforests and dense jungle to cascading waterfalls and magnificent volcanoes.

Immerse yourself in the abundant history left behind from the battles between Japan and the USA during World War II, both above and below the water.

When you visit the Solomon Islands, you have the opportunity to seek the unexplored. Rich in culture, history and natural wonder, this pristine paradise is one of the Pacific’s best-kept secrets.

Diving

Overview

Due to pressure from the tourism industry, fishing regulations in the Solomon Islands were strengthened over 20 years ago. This has allowed the marine life to flourish and reefs to thrive, subsequently earning the Solomon Islands its enviable worldwide diving reputation.

Each region has its own spectacular mix of flourishing reefs, mysterious caverns, steep walls and interesting WWII wrecks. Dive sites are wonderfully accessible, with the majority of sites located close to shore with just a few requiring a long journey out on a boat. If you’re into deeper dives, you will not be disappointed, with some sites reaching 63m! Whatever your interest or level of diving you’re sure to be captivated by the diversity of sites in the Solomon Islands.
